Commercial Litigation: Ms. Bazanos has represented businesses in connection with contractual disputes under both common law and the Uniform Commercial Code.
Construction Law: Ms. Bazanos has represented owners, general contractors, subcontractors and material suppliers in disputes involving breach of contract, claims over delays, extras and change orders, mechanics liens and bond claims, and fraud. In addition, Ms. Bazanos can assist with the drafting, reviewing and negotiation of contracts, including the review of bid and proposal documents.
Mechanics Liens and Bond Claims: Ms. Bazanos has considerable experience drafting and perfecting mechanics lien claims against private construction projects and lien claims against public funds on public projects as well as drafting claims against payment bonds.
Bankruptcy: Ms. Bazanos' interest in bankruptcy related issues is longstanding; during law school she clerked for both a panel Chapter 13 Trustee and panel Chapter 7 Trustee. As an attorney she has represented creditors in adversary proceedings to secure determinations as to the non-dischargeability of certain debts and to establish the priority of liens, as well as defended clients in preference actions.
