Attorney Biography

Chicago construction and real estate lawyer Kori M. Bazanos earned her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, in 1995. She practiced with distinction in other firms for 12 years prior to establishing her own firm in 2008. Throughout her career, Ms. Bazanos has concentrated in construction law, including the filing and enforcement of mechanics liens and bond claims; representation of creditors' rights in bankruptcy proceedings; and other forms of commercial litigation. She also frequently represents buyers and sellers in residential real estate transactions.

Ms. Bazanos is a member of numerous prominent legal associations and committees relevant to her practice areas. She has earned favorable results at trial in reported cases and has also completed mediation skills training. In 2008, she co-authored the chapter on Mechanics Liens in the Illinois Construction Law Manual published by Thomson-West. She is also an active volunteer who contributes her time to important community organizations.
